Xiaomi Mi 4i Not Support 4G LTE Indonesia


Due to the support of its network spectrum, the latest smartphone Xiaomi Mi 4i, it is not currently support 4G LTE in Indonesia.



According to Hugo Barra, VP Global Xiaomi Mi 4i only support band 3 or 1,800 MHz spectrum for 4G connection.

That means, the device is still not usable for surfing with the new network in the country, at least until the migration process to the 1,800 MHz spectrum over.

For your information, the current 4G LTE network in Indonesia is in the 900 MHz spectrum. Meanwhile, operators in Indonesia is in the process of migrating to 1800 MHz spectrum and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the 2015's.

"There are no plans to bring Mi 4i with 900 MHz network support," said Hugo, when answering the question of whether to bring the Xiaomi Mi 4i with the configuration of the network support or not.

In an event in Jakarta, Tuesday (19/05/2015), Xiaomi introduces its newest device, Mi 4i.

Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a 5-inch landscape display. The screen supports a resolution of Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with density 441 pixels.

The screen can be quite unique because it is equipped with Sunlight Display technology. With this feature, the screen Mi 4i claimed still comfortable to use even under direct sunlight.

In terms of the "innards", Xiaomi Mi 4i equipped with Snapdragon SoC 615 64-bit octa-core 1.7 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and 16 GB of storage media. There is no slot for storage media in the device.

The main camera on this phone has a resolution of 13 megapixels, accompanied by a front camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels.

Mi 4i equipped with a battery capacity is large enough, that is 3,120 mAh, larger than an iPhone battery 6. Batteries are supplied by Sony and Samsung are claimed to last up to one and a half days.

It runs on Android 5.0 operating system Lollipop is enhanced with MIUI 6.0 interface.
