Is the Acer Cloud Mobile S500 rallying for Jelly Bean ?

The long awaited Acer top of the line smartphone might be sporting Jelly Bean from launch. The Cloud Mobile S500 (or CloudMobile, whatever) is expected to launch in September and, up to now, few details have emerged.

When pre-production units were shown in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, the specs sheet listed a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM (plus 8GB on-board storage and a microSD slot), 8 MP camera with LED flash and an impressive 4.3 inch display of 1280x800 pixel. Back then, the smartphone featured Android ICS 4.0 and let us hoping if that could be bettered when it debuts in the stores.

Now, an Inside entry (a staff blog by Expansys, who has the smartphone for pre-order since last month), sneaked some of the Acer Cloud Mobile features, mostly confirming what's already known but also introducing Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) in the list. Here's an excerpt:

The Acer Cloud Mobile has been wrapped in a bit of a mystery but from what we’ve seen so far we’re fairly certain that Acer’s newest addition is going to be huge. Reasonably priced it won’t only feature impressive specs with its powerful 1.5 GHz dual core processor, large 4.3-inch HD touch screen and Android 4.1

What do you think? Will this be just a typo? Or the long time waiting will be finally worth?
