Breaking: Official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update released for LG Optimus 4X HD (Update: Changelog)



The wait is over. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the LG Optimus 4X HD is being distributed over the LG Update Servers (starting from the Czech Republic region). You can get the official KDZ update file from our LG Firmware Central or wait a little bit more to pop in your official LG Update tool.

Update: European version now live. Slowly reaching other regions. Congratulations to all 4X HD owners!

  • Operating system updated to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
  • kernel updated to version 3.1.10
  • Unlocked Bootloader
  • Enhanced Link Up Application
  • Configurable background in SMS conversations
  • Pinch-to-zoom to scale the layout in SMS, Gallery, e-mail and Address Book
  • Some widgets updated, others removed to match the 2013 Optimus 3.0 interface
  • LG Tag+ application removed. Can be downloaded via "Application Management"
  • Latest Google security patches
  • Updated Google Mobile Suite and core smartphone applications
  • New AccuWeather weather widget
  • News and Yahoo! Finance removed
  • File Manager application added
  • Added autofocus indicator on the camera application
