Hot New Blackberry 10 Review

Blackberry, the smartphone manufacturing company from Canada, recently launched the next gen smartphones Blackberry Z10, a touchscreen smartphone, and Blackberry Q10, touchscreen and keyboard smartphone, supported by their latest operating system Blackberry 10. This really is the first of this year’s future phones.

Touch Interface

The new mobile operating system Blackberry 10 competes with the iOS and Android. Blackberry has revamped the new operating system to address its userbase of businessmen and teens. Now it supports better apps, has a simple interface to manage different features such as email, BBM, social networks etc and aesthetically designed easy to type touchscreen.

Dual Profile

Blackberry 10 offers some interesting features such as Blackberry Balance which allows a user to manage two profiles on the phone. One is a work profile that can be used to access work related apps and data. Another profile is personal profile that can be used to connect with the social networks, play games and entertainment purposes. Both the profiles can be customised individually using different settings options.

Multi-Tasking and More

Blackberry 10 offers some interesting and useful features. One of the most impressive features is that it can run multiple applications simultaneously. For example you can respond to a message while watching video. You do not have to pause video to respond to some other app.

BlackBerry Z10

Another praiseworthy feature is its ability to share photos and videos as a complete package using Blackberry Storymaker. Blackberry Storymaker allows its users to create a slide show using multiple pictures or moving images. It also allows inserting text, title or captions.

Blackberry World allows the user to download movies, music and tv shows. The Newsstand app sells the issues of reputed magazines such as the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, the Economist etc. some other noteworthy features of Blackberry 10 are the Hub, Remember, Box, Peek, Flow etc.

Overall

The Blackberry Z10 is a sleek and stylish looking smartphone with touchscreen. It can compete with the latest iPhone with its 4.2” touchscreen, 1.5 GHz dual core CPU to support the latest OP, 8 mega-pixel camera and 4G connectivity for UK LTE networks. It has 16 GB of internal storage expandable with microSD card.

The touchscreen keyboard is smooth and easy to use. It offers auto correct and prediction features. It adapts to the users writing pattern and accordingly suggests words while typing.

Blackberry boasts about using its phones with one thumb only, but with Z 10 you have to adjust the grip to use the thumb. The phone comes with 35 pre installed applications such as facebook, twitter etc. The camera has an interesting feature called TimeShift mode. Using this mode you can take pictures before and after pressing the click button. This is useful in filtering out blinking or awkward shots. It takes clear pictures with the option of manual focus.

BlackBerry Z10 is already available in UK from the networks Orange, EE, Three, Vodafone, O2 and T-Mobile. The handset may be available for free with some contracts. It would be available in Canada, UAE and USA around February or March. Launch date for Blackberry Q 10 is yet to be announced.
