Huawei has just announced a solution for carriers to analyze the use of smartphone applications connected to their network. The adoption of smartphones and connected devices in general is pushing the wireless networks to its limits, causing frequent slowdowns and not so rare outages.
According to Huawei:
The Apps Insider solution analyzes, evaluates and ranks mobile applications according to how they impact network performance and user experience, providing suggestions for overall optimization. As a result, operators are able to reassign network resources for applications, and developers can improve the efficiency of their applications to reduce their impact on network performance and user experience.
Note that "reassign network resources" can have a broad meaning: Everything from granting to blocking does fit, so lazy developers better look after some optimizations.
